HE'S CRACKING UP, HE'S CRACKING UP, RAFA'S CRACKING UP! Liverpool moved to within one point of Premier League leaders Manchester United after a Steven Gerrard hat-trick helped them to a breathtaking 5-0 victory over Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.

Goal keeper pepe reina also achieving his 100th clean sheet for liverpool.

however despite the excellent last 10 days no one at the club was likely to lose perspective especially with the death of Bryce Morrison only a few days ago.

liverpool went into the game determined to keep up the attacking pace and style of play that we saw so clearly at old trafford the previous weekend. gerrard winning a corner within the first 2 minutes, auriellio placing it onto the head of skrtel.

only a few minutes later gerrard latched onto a throughball from torres only to slip at the crucial moment. it already looked like a hard days work for the a.v. back 4.



8 minutes into the game and kuyt caught the rebound of a gerrard free kick which had rattled the crossbar. GOAL. kuyt manages to slice it into the net. liverpool 1 up.

like the narrow streets surrounding liverpool it was one way traffic.


it took villa 21 minutes to get a shot at goal. a few minutes later and reina was forced to make a diving sav to deny carew. the bald headed goalie does not get enough credit for almost perfect kick but he pretty well to find the path of riera who brilliantly smashed it into the back. liverpool 2 - 0 up before 30 minutes of play.



and it only got better.

if villa's task had not been made hard enough because riera he was about to spoil their day completely. making a ghostly run behind reo - coker the midfielder filling in for right back had no choice but to bring him down to his dismay it was inside the box and the ref was not hesitant in pointing to the spot.



did any one ever doubt captain fantastic? he cooly slotted it in the bottom right corner after waiting for friedal to dive the other way.

liverpool were only to make it worse after the break adding another 2 goals. gerrard cleverly fooling the opposition and maybe his team mates by rolling the ball quickly and sneakily into the bottom corner from a free kick just on the edge of the box.

again gerrard with his hat-trick cooly converted from the spot after friedal brought down torres in the box which saw the former liverpool player off the pitch with a straight red. may be slightly harsh but a summary of aston villa's performance and liverpools excellence.

overall a fantastic day and liverpool once again making a decent team look nothing but completely average.

the title race is back on!

THE REDS ARE BACK AND FIERCE!!! wow. we beat man u, the bloody leaders of the league 4-1. and we have done the double. so to all those pessimists like robbie, chacha i hope ur happy...and to all those optimists i.e, adam, ricki, arron...wasn't that just fantastically amazing!!!

man u team; van der sar, evra, ferdinand, vidic, o'shea, park, carrick, ronaldo, rooney, tevez, subs; giggs, evans, fletcher, foster, berbatov, scholes.

liverpool team; riena, aurelio, hypia, skrtel, carra, riera, mascharano, lucas, kuyt, gerrard, torres, subs; babel, cavelieri, insua, dossena, ngog, el zahr.

liverpool started off on the back foot as hypia was put in for arbeloa at the last minute who suffered a hamstring injury during the warm up. of course this left liverpool fans even more anxious before kick off.

it was man u who threatened first when ronaldo shot from a pass from park. it took a good block from carra to deflect it out for a corner.

on 11 minutes gerrard latched onto a clever through ball from aurellio but to only see some good defending by the united back two to get it away from the danger area. torres then had a sight at goal wen a mistake from ferdinand enabled him to beautifully turn but vidic was again there to see off his team mates blunder.

the dead lock was broken when riena needlessly bought down park in the box. ronaldo converting to make it 1-0 united.

however the lead didn't last for long as torres made the most of his pace to snatch the ball away from vidic and found himself one on one with the keeper only to the keeper's dismay he was then one on one with a ball in the back of the net before he could blink, torres already off at the corner flag celebrating.

the game continued as the next goal proved to be very impotant..and both sides knew it. liverpool had a few chances through torres and kuyt but it was united who came th closest with a fierce shot from ronaldo and riena fumbling but caught it in just before park could pounce.

however the break came again wen gerrard latched onto a good ball from torres only to be cruelly bought to the ground by evra. wiley had no choice but to point to the spot for the secoond time in 45 minutes. gerrard coolly converted to give liverpool a slim but significant lead.

united came out after the half time clearly to prove a point and try to retain their lead. they put us under a lot of preassure with crosses and shots coming in at riena and the defence from both sides of the pitch. liverpool managed to hang in there and only 2 minutes after fergie had bought on giggs, berbatov and scholes liverpool gt the killer goal. Vidic, carelessly bringing down gerrard as he ripped through the back of the home defence was red carded.

as much as gerrard would have loved to have claimed the inevitable goal that would have been entered onto the score sheet had vidic nt pulled him down, aurielio managed to stunn the crowd by slotting a cool free-kick into and the only thing that the only thing liverpool fans cared about was it shattering the netting, sadly that sound was cancelled out by the sound of the hearts of anyone involved in man united football club! oh well. so at 3-1 we were invinsible. but it only gt better.

gerrard could of made it 4 with a sitter that he would hav normally burried but it didn't matter as a 90th minutes break from liverpool left what was left of old trafford in dismay, dossena finishing a pass and flicking it over the goalie completed an unbelievable day at the office.

so wat the theatre of dreams was left stunned and silenced as the red scousers walked away with the points.

so an amazin performance by the reds and a fantastic way to slap the ignorant bastards in the face.

this is yet another random blog.

netball yesterday...was pretty fun...even tho we lost...but only by 5 goals so it was alrite. but wat was up wiv their team?? they were well posh! clappin everytime we scored?! hehe...maha i love u. but i still don't understand the 'not tlkin thing'. am i just being rly slow again?
mehh. oh well.

omg. did any1 else find they have bn overloaded wiv art c/w this weekend? cuz i am. ontop of which i hav biology, chemistry, maths, physics, latin, and sum other stuff. :(. wat is the point in h/w. we spend 75% of our time at skl anywayz, they don't need to bring it home aswell!

no jkes..now i have become addicted to depressin books and films! i don't know y!?! is it just a girl thing?...or am i seriously messed up?

is it just me or do parents get annoyed at the smallest thing. no jkez. i came downstairs yesterday and mi dad actually told me mi skirt was too short!...wtf? he has never done that before!!.. i was just like WTF!!! its get more annoyin wen parents complain at the little things! because u know that u don't actually deserve it.

liverpool vs. sunderland

REDS ARE BACK ON FORM! no jkes liverpool won a game.

i was optomistic to say the least at the beginning of the game. mostly because for once rafa had put out a decent team.

we started off well, playing the ball around well and makin some nice runs. liverpool were put under a bit of preassure when sunderland striker and top scorer Jones, clipped around the back of the two livepool centre backs to come one-on-one with reina. luckily for us the goalie stood his ground and pulled of a good save to deny jones a goal and sunderland the lead.

liverpool continued to press creating some good chances for, ngog, reira, gerrard and kuyt. unfortunately typical of our season so far the ball just did not want to hit the back of the net.

the breakthrough came in the 52nd minute where reira nicely placed it onto the head of gerrard who managed to knock it bac for ngog. mind u it would hav been miss of the season if it had not gone in.

liverpool continued to attack looking for that second game killing goal. it didn't come till the 65th minute where bennayoun with a lovely intercepting run managed to slot it past the baffled sunderland goalkeeper!

sunderland started to look threatening but we managed to hold in there till the final whistle and snatch the win but more importantly 3 points.

so in the end a good performance from the reds. we would like to see more of that in the matches to come please!:)

today was actually one of the best school days i've had in a LONG time. i don't but every1 just seems so borin now...like they don't kno how to hav fun and if they want to hav fun it has to be all about them. does any1 remember wen u used to just hang around wiv mates and all laigh together. it seems like i can only get that outside of skl now. but i don't know y...is it just me or does ever1 else get that aswell?

anywayz...today.

started off the day wiv a french test...urgh. but i can't complain that much french is pretty jkes cuz i hav rosie.

after french i had a rly in depth conversation wiv rosie and maha during art. the reason they are two of mi best friends is cuz it's just so easy to tlk to them about anythin and i kno they will ALWAYS make me feel happy again.

history...mehh :( i hate mi history class. it's so pathetic and annoyin!!!!

then hockey tournament...it was soooo jkes. we've never played in door before and we did really well comin second. im nt goin to tell u match by match how we did but here are the scores;

so successfull.
