Hilsborough.x. (please read.in memory of the lives lost)
15th of April 1989. liverpool were in the semi-finals of the F.A. cup, it was laid out to be a day that would be written into history books everywhere...but nobody expected that out of the 24 thousand fans that travelled 96 would never come home and the other 23904 would remember this day till they die.
i wasn't alive on that day..so i don't know what exactly happened and i don't think i'll ever be able to grasp the effect like mi father or uncle....but what i do know is;
the police didn't close the tunnel...they knew the ground was overfilling...there was no way they could let any more people in without their being chaos. instead they let more people through...by the time they resalise it is too late...people are falling off the balcony, holding on for their life...and all because the tunnel wasn't closed.
eventually the game is stopped...people are flooding onto the pitch trying to get to safety...i've only seen replays but u can hear the screams, people yelling 'there's people dying in their, do something'. but what are the players supposed to do, kenny, and hansen made an announcement i don't know what it said but they did.
that day changed the face of football...liverpool fans are the most loyal in the world, they follow their team and they support them. how the press can say what they did after only 4 days after the disaster is a disgrace. the honour of these fans has still not been restored because the people responsilble still, 20 years on, fail to take the blame for what they did.
Hilsborough changed football. for one, the stadiums, they are safer, everyone gets allocated seats, no one gets in without a ticket and the stewards watch over the crowd as if there is everything to lose.
on this day 20 years ago 96 lives were lost and many many more would have to suffer for it for the rest of their lives. these fans will never be forgotten. they represent liverpool football club and connect each and every person involved in the club. After that terrible disaster i don't think any one can even doubt that liverpool fans are the best...the way all the fans gathered to help the mess created by the police....it is extrodinary.
This disaster as terrible but it is the reason why everton fans have mi respect. the way they gathered in the city was immense, friends both liverpool and everton fans joined as one unit to remember these people that only wanted to love the game of football.
as i have said i was not born at this time but watching the Hilsborough remmberance clip before the blackburn game and reading the letters from family to the loved ones who died on that day still bought me to tears. that is how connected a liverpool fan is with the team. it is not just a football team it is a club, connected and bought together by the love of the game the passion for a unit and the friendship you can gain.

quarter final
liverpool just drew 4-4 to chelsea at stamford bridge in the second leg of the champions league quarter final. they lost 7-5 on aggregate but i can't tell u how proud i am to be a l.f.c. fan rite now
we played well and never gave up which is all u can ask of ur team. maybe today it was just not meant to be...
...but that kind of character is what every fan wants to see in their team, i don't think there is any doubt that deep down that character was shown for those 96 fans and their families. ok we didn't win...but it was for them...to show that we will never stop fighting, and us as fans we will never stop supporting as long as the players keep fighting.
gerrard isn't the heart of this team and neither is torres, each and every player in the liverpool squad plays to make us as supporters proud...
at this time...14th April 2009...1 day away from Hilsborough 20th anniverasry...i am glad, proud and excited to be a part of this great club.
for everyone who thinks it's a waste of time or pointless....u don't get this feeling from anything else and u won't understand if ur not part of it...
...ur missing out.
so don't tell me that it's a waste of time or that im over-reating because it is one of the best feelings u can get..and to know that ur part of it with others who feel the same way is something else.

its bn a while...
wow i swear i haven't actually posted in a while...actually i think last wednesday was wen...meh
so whats bn happening in mi life since then...
shopping!!! i have done an abnormal amount of shopping this holidays and im going agan 2moz even though i don't hav any money left...ah well...i suppose it's fun..
so liverpool hav had a bit of a rollercoster..i would post a blog about the blackburn game but i didn't actually watch it....guesss where i was....shopping!! but i did hav ricky txting me a running commentary so it was kl...seen the highlights....bloody hell...torres' first goal...effing stunner!
i finally gt round to seein love actually and i actually love it! haha...funny times. :)
ok...recently i hav bn sooo confused...about...people...it's kinda hard to explain...but i'll try... i hate the way every1 makes a big deal just because ur friends wiv sum1 of the opposite sex...it rly annoys me and u don't have to be better friends wiv sum1 just becasue u've known them longer than sum1 else who u r rly close to? do u? and best friends..i don't get this concept anymore...wat is a best friend...how do u know if sum1 is ur best friend...can u hav more than 1 best friend? cuz about a month ago i could have named 3 people who wivout a chance clearcut were mi best friends..now i still have 2 of them but i am sooo confused becasue this third person i am just as close to as i am to many people...
right none of that made sense...oh well...i tried.
man i seriously miss maha....like i guess you don't realise how close u r to sum1 until they have gone...i miss our stupid conversations over the phone...our random and pointless arguements...our shopping trips and our asian jokes...:(
anywayz...more postive stuff...well there's actuallyt a suprising amount...but u don't need to kno...
oh no...adam has gained his freaky optimism bac after our demolishing of blackburn...wierd boy...like i am optimistic that we can do well...but man u get carried away...oh well i guess it's kinda funny...if only u could carry it on into 'the search'. lol. nt going well then eh. ;)

and also u kno how as a general sort of stereotype people think kids from state skls are poorer. so not true. there's this guy at wootton upper, his dad owns a fucking record company and has worked with n-dubz, wiley and akon. he's met akon and has messages from p-diddy, akon, and ne-yo to him on youtube!!!! sorry but that is pretty amazing!!!
